These birds are hand carved by my father Jim Crockett.
My father comes from four generations of Lake Erie fisherman:Born and raised on the banks of Lake Erie .
He has lived and worked on the water since he was a boy.
He has been a commercial fisherman , working along side of his father as a boy and sharing his craft with his son he carried on the tradition.
Dad has retired from commercial fishing but continues to run charters on Lake Erie during the summer season.
A day on the Lake with my father is bound to be not only enjoyable but also an education. He has much knowledge to share about the area, the history , the wildlife and so much more.
When he isn't on the water , Dad spends his spare time engaged with nature from the back porch of his lake shore home ,studying the wild life that graces our vista .
Dad has turned his love of nature into beautiful art .I'm excited to share it with you .
I will be adding photos of the beautiful humming bird broaches that Dad makes and a photo of a carving he has done of an eagle and one of a wood pecker.
